چکیده
Abstract Aims Cardiac dyssynchrony in patients with repaired Tetralogy of Fallot (rToF) has been attributed to right bundle branch block (RBBB), fibrosis and/or the patches that are inserted during repair surgery. We aimed investigate basis abnormal activation rToF by mapping electrical sequence sinus rhythm (SR) and ventricular (RV) pacing. Methods Results A total 17 were studied [13 rToF, 2 left (LBBB), without RBBB or LBBB (non-BBB)] medically indicated cardiac During SR RV pacing, measurements performed using 112-electrode endocardial balloons (rToF only) biventricular epicardial sock arrays (four all non-rToF patients). SR, functional lines occurred five patients, while pacing caused blocks four patients. The line persisted both only out 13 Compared increased dispersion septal activation, but not free wall. comparable Conclusion results present study indicate delayed ventricle is predominantly due block(s) Purkinje system conduction tissue fairly normal.

Residual problems with repaired tetralogy of fallot.
Operable Problems Pulmonary regurgitation and RVOT stenosis are anatomical complications that can be relieved only by anatomical repair including surgery and percutaneous catheter treatment.4,5 Therefore, appropriate timing of such intervention is important. However, definite criteria for reoperation are not yet determined. There were several advocated criteria for re-intervention using magneti...
متن کاملVascular function in children with repaired tetralogy of Fallot.
We compared the endothelial function and vascular wall characteristics of 11 children with tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) (age 13 +/- 3 years) with the characteristics of 17 age-matched peers (12 +/- 2 years). Echocardiographic Doppler measurements were performed under standardized conditions to assess (1) the carotid and femoral artery diameter and intima-media thickness, (2) brachial artery endoth...
متن کاملOutcome of adults with repaired tetralogy of Fallot.
Outcome of adult patients with repaired tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) was studied with emphasis on postrepair problems. A retrospective review of clinical, echocardiographic, catheterization, and surgical data was performed for 48 patients who underwent corrective repair of TOF after 15 years of age. All patients survived total repair and have been followed up from 3 months to 11 years (median 4.6 ...
متن کاملAssociation of ventricular dyssynchrony and strain with cardiac function in patients with repaired tetralogy of Fallot
Background Patients with repaired tetralogy of Fallot (rTOF) have impairments in cardiac mechanics (strain and dyssynchrony). However, the relationship between cardiac strain, dyssynchrony, and cardiac function (measured by ejection fraction) in patients with rTOF has not been explored comprehensively in a large population. We hypothesized that measures of cardiac mechanics are associated with ...
